Development and pilot validation of a cryopreservation protocol for species of the genus Arachis, based on the use of embryonic axes and the combined technique of desiccation–vitrification. The innovation standardises the stages of extraction, conditioning, controlled dehydration, vitrification, immersion in liquid nitrogen, thawing and in vitro regeneration, strengthening the safe and long-term conservation of peanut germplasm under ex situ conditions at INIAP.
